Dustin J Trani is Four Generations of Italian Cuisine

Dustin J Trani has been a fixture at J Trani’s since age 6, where he now serves as executive chef. Dustin’s love for cooking was fostered by his grandfather J Trani Senior and his father Jim Trani junior.

After learning the family secrets, Dustin set out around the world; studying pasta in the Italian truffle region, serving as chef at the People’s Café in Zagreb, Croatia and exploring Asian food while training at the Oriental Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.

Since returning to the States Dustin has served under Chef Ming on his James Beard award team, he was appointed by the Governor to represent California in the National Seafood Cook-off and managed a team of 11 chefs as Contessa Food’s Executive Chef.

Today Dustin holds executive chef positions at J Trani’s in San Pedro and DOMA in Beverly Hills.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Esteban Munoz Worked His Way to the Top

Joining Trani’s as a busboy at age 20, Estaban found his way to the kitchen within a few months, where he learned he enjoyed cooking. Today as chef, it’s a passion for cooking developed under Jim Senior, Jim Junior and Dustin J Trani.

Together Dustin and Estaban a formidable team, just ask the wait staff.
